Two words. Cruelty and Injustice Is what I think of when ICE is brought into a conversation.

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is a federal agency that work under the command of the United States President, Donald Trump. This agency deports families leading communities to live in fear in this time of injustice. President Trump was elected president, in the fall of 2024. Considering the decisions and actions made by par, I wonder if any teenager feels the same anger that I feel as a daughter of an immigrant.

Civilians being taken away back to their country after making endless sacrifices to seek new opportunities

Immigrants come to the United States with the goal of achieving a better future for themselves and their future generations of family. Those dreams are currently thoughts, and are in slim chances of becoming a reality. ICE is making sure those immigrants are being sent to their homeland, where they have sacrificed unmeasurably to get here. You would think that families are deported in a safe and liberal way. No, you’re wrong. Violence and attack is their way of getting their mission fulfilled. Countless wounded, killed, split apart from their family and home are only a couple of things our world has now been a victim of.

Seeing how there are thousands of teenagers citizens or not, with the perfect opportunity of speaking up for those who can’t, provokes me to think of hope. I believe that with the support of many teenagers and other activists, we are able to take a conventional stand and take actions towards a greater cause. Recently, we have seen many highschools take part in action towards awareness in school protests. Seeing how many brave students around my age are willing to leave their education behind and stand for something they find disgusting, leads me to think that we are not any generation. We are the change, that will make the United States a better and civilized democracy.

During this time of standing in fear, there are many resources for safety and help that is easily being offered to those in need. Volunteering or donating towards these causes is not a normal donation, it’s a donation for freedom and prayer for ordinary civilized justice to be served. We must remember with the current circumstances in our country, we cannot just sit down and be quiet, but must take action. I encourage you to take time out to simply volunteer at food banks, or help in those resources that are being provided towards immigrants to help serve them justice. Without our contribution, it’s a nightmare of what our country might become.
